A Hug That Lasts

Hug Knits began with something very simple — the need to keep going.

After being diagnosed with cancer and going through treatment, Lynsey found herself facing changes that affected everyday life. Knitting became part of her rehabilitation — something she could work at, little by little, while rebuilding strength and doing something positive.

And from that came Hug Knits.

What started as part of Lynsey's own journey became an idea for something that could mean much more to somebody else.

More Than a Neck Warmer

Every Hug Knit is handmade by Lynsey with care. No factory production line and no two have to be exactly the same.

You can choose the wool colour, choose a little heart colour and add your own personal message.

It might be for somebody going through a difficult time. Someone you miss. Someone celebrating something special. Or simply someone you'd like to remind:

“I'm thinking about you.”

Because sometimes you can't be there to give someone a hug yourself.

So you send them one instead.

A Hug Knit takes time to make, and that's part of what makes it special.

Each one is made for a real person, not simply taken from a warehouse shelf.

We hope that when somebody opens their package, they don't just see something warm to wear.

We hope they feel the person who sent it.

Our Little Idea

We don't know exactly where Hug Knits will take us.

It started around our kitchen table in Lanzarote, from one person's determination to keep doing something with her hands and a family's idea that perhaps something made with love could help somebody else too.

If Hug Knits can make someone smile, remind somebody they're loved, or make a difficult day just a little bit better, then it's doing exactly what we hoped it would.

Sometimes someone just needs to know they're loved, remembered and thought about.
